Add Astra Porta

Free. You need an iPhone and the Flighty app.

Add it to your iPhone

You only do this once.

  1. 1Tap Add Astra Porta, then Add Shortcut

Tap the Add Astra Porta button at the top of this page. The Shortcuts app opens and shows Astra Porta. Tap the blue Add Shortcut button at the bottom. That’s the whole setup.

A web page opens instead of the Shortcuts app? Tap Get Shortcut on it. Still stuck? Download the file, then open it from the Files app.

Check a flight

Do this whenever you want to know.

  1. 2In Flighty, press and hold Share

Open your flight in Flighty. Find the small Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up) and press and hold it for a second. Don’t just tap it.

Holding opens your iPhone’s own share menu. That’s where Astra Porta is.

  2. ✕Not this screen

A quick tap opens Flighty’s own share screen, with a big blue button. That one shares through Flighty and can’t send your flight to Astra Porta.

Seeing this? Close it, then press and hold the Share button instead.

  3. 3Scroll down and tap Astra Porta

Your iPhone’s share menu slides up. Scroll down past the row of apps to the list underneath, and tap Astra Porta.

Not in the list? Go to the last step on this page.

  4. 4The first time, tap Always Allow

The first time, your iPhone asks if Astra Porta can read the flight from Flighty. Tap Always Allow so it doesn’t ask again.

  5. 5Read your answer

Safari opens with the answer: Yes, No or Maybe, with the plane’s tail number and type.

No plane assigned yet? It tells you which day to check back, usually the day before you fly.

Not in the share menu?

  1. ?Turn on Show in Share Sheet

Open the Shortcuts app. Press and hold Astra Porta, tap Details, then switch on Show in Share Sheet.

Go back to Flighty and try step 2 again.
